FUNDAMENTAL DOCTRINES OF THE BIBLE                           (STATEMENT OF FAITH)

There are  16 Fundamental Truths, which form our Statement of Faith. Four of these are considered Cardinal Doctrines, and they are Salvation, The Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming.

1. The Scriptures Inspired.

We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man. (2 Timothy 3:15-17 ; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

2. The One True God.

We believe in one true God revealed and manifested in three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).

3. Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Crist, the Son of God, is both divine and human. (Luke 1:31-35; Acts 2:36; 3:14-15; Philippians 2:5-12; Hebrews 1:3-15)

4. The Fall of Man.

We believe that man, though created good and upright, choose to sin. As a consequence, man's transgression brought him death and separation from God. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12-19).

5. The Salvation of Man.

We believe that salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ is man's only hope of redemption. And that this salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. Also that this salvation is entirely by the grace of God and not of works. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 3:5-7

6. The Ordinances of the Church.

We believe the Scriptures command believers to observe the ordinance of Water Baptism and Holy Communion respectively. The ordinance of baptism by immersion is to be observed by all who have repented and believe in Christ Jesus (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4). This becomes a testimony to the world that participants have died with Christ and have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. And the ordinance of holy communion (the Lord's Supper) is observed as a memorial of Christ's suffering and death, and a prophecy of his second coming (2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26).

7. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. The Scripture calls it "the Promise of the Father" which believers are encouraged to earnestly seek. With the baptism in the Holy Spirit comes such experience as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit for power for life and service (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8;2:42; John 7:37-39; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31).

8. Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

We believe that speaking with other tongues, as the Spirit of God gives utterance, is the initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-10; 1 Corinthians 12:28).

9. Sanctification.

We believe in Sanctification as an act of separation from evil, and of dedication unto God. Both separation and dedication are highly necessary in order to live a life of "holiness without which no man shall see God" (Romans 12:1,2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 12:14; 13:12).

10. The Church and its Mission.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, the dwelling place of God through the Holy Spirit. The church has been mandated to be the agency of God in evangelizing the world. She also functions as a venue through which the believers may worship God as well demonstrate God's love and compassion for the entire world (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 28:19,20; Galatians 2:10; 6:10).

11. The Ministry.

we believe that the Lord has provided a scripturally ordained ministry for the primary purpose of building and equipping the church for worship, evangelism, and ministry of love and compassion (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23,24; Galatians 2:10; 6:10; Ephesians 4:11-16).

12. Divine Healing.

We believe that divine healing is the privilege of all believers, and provided for in the atonement (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16,17; James 5:14-16).

13. The Blessed Hope.

We believe in the blessed hope, when Christ will return to resurrect the dead in him, and translate living believers (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

14. The Millennial Reign of Christ.

We believe in the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years. This will come shortly after the rapture. The millennial reign usher in the salvation of Israel, and also universal peace (Matthew 24:27,30; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-14; 20:1-6).

15. The Final Judgement.

We believe there will be a final judgement in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Those whos names are not found in the book of life will be punished in the lke of fire, which burns with fire and brimstone. The scriptures calls this the second death (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8).

16. The New Heavens and the New Earth.

We believe that soon after the present heavens and earth have passed away, according to Scriptures, God will usher in a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:22).
